MyScienceWork is looking for a talented Business Development Intern to help us expand our service in the Bay Area and in the USA. MyScienceWork develops Polaris – innovative platforms to help research labs and universities share and promote their research. Polaris platforms are integrated into www.MyScienceWork.com a global scientific platform where researchers share and discuss their research, and where everyone can access more than 30 million research publications.

After working for 3 years with research organizations in Europe (Paris and Luxembourg), MyScienceWork has opened new offices in San Francisco, at RocketSpace, an acclaimed co-working space hosting fast-growing startups in the Financial District.

Your mission will be to help with the development of our relationships with research labs and universities, in the Bay Area to start, but rapidly expanding to the East Coast, too. You will be working from RocketSpace, with our executive team, but also frequently interacting with our Sales Director in Paris, thus benefiting from his experience of the European market, as well.

Your mission will be to have more research labs and researchers using Polaris, our institutional product, and the www.mysciencework.com global platform.

Responsibilities:
Identify lists of research labs and leads
Analyze the market
Manage acquisition campaigns
Approach and convert potential leads through cold and warm emails/calls
Develop and test new and existing acquisition channels

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in business development or research field
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Excellent sales/marketing skills
Ability to approach new customers and create business relationships
Ability to work rapidly and adapt quickly to any situation

Preferred:
Business development and/or sales-related experience
Experience or existing network in academic or private research
Biomedical experience as a business person or as a researcher is considered a plus
